MARTIN DANIELS - PGA PROFESSIONAL

I (Martin) have 'come home' in every sense of the word to the town where I was born, raised and educated and back to the golf club (Gillingham), where I first started golf and joined as a junior on 1st September 1972.  To then becoming an Assistant Professional for 6 years until 1980.  Now, 27 years later, I have been appointed Club Professional, a job which I will undertake with pride and honour.

Gillingham Golf Club is very much my spiritual home of golf, where I spent many hours practicing - even in the dark! Honing my skills to improve my game.

I have gained vast experience and knowledge from clubs I have worked at, (Rochester & Cobham, Henley, Barham Broom, Addington Court and Upchurch) which I bring with me to Gillingham for the benefit of the members.  My wide range of skills cover coaching to retail, club repairing to course management and a reasonably high standard in playing golf itself!

With the old adage in mind - 'you can't please all of the people all of the time', I will endevour over time and given the chance, with your support, loyalty and suggestions to 'please all of the people some of the time'.  So with this in mind, coupled with my skills, sincerity, integrity and a following wind with no downhill putts, we can look forward to a long and happy association of mutual satisfaction.

The greatest compliment once given to me, was being referred to as "the Professionals' Professional" by upholding the traditions and integrity of this fine but unrelenting game that is golf.
